Your Tasks
- You will compare the technical specifications of double railcars of type B and C1 trains. You will use the C2 series for comparison.
- You will provide support in determining the basic wear mechanisms of rails, wheels and pantograph shoes.
- You will also carry out market research into possible pantograph designs, including the material composition of collector shoes, for subway vehicles.
- Test planning and preparation is also part of your area of responsibility and includes selecting the measuring instruments, determining the measuring points and procedures and preparing the vehicles for the measurements.
- You will be responsible for data analysis and evaluation, i.e. you will compare the data with existing standards and norms and identify the optimum adjustment height ranges.
- Simulation and validation are also part of your job. You will formulate the optimum setting heights for safe operation and minimal wear and finally derive recommendations for adjusting maintenance intervals and selecting materials.
This is how you convince us
- You are studying mechatronics, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering (rail vehicle technology), materials engineering or a comparable subject.
- You have a good knowledge of mechanics and materials science.
- Ideally, you have already gained initial knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.
- Practical experience in the field of rail vehicles and/or railroad technology or mechanical measurement technology is an advantage.
- In addition, you have experience with measurement techniques and instruments for data acquisition and analysis as well as with simulation software (e.g. MATLAB) and data analysis tools (e.g. Python, Excel).
- You have a proactive and solution-oriented approach to technical challenges and good communication skills. Your profile is rounded off by your independence and initiative.
